Despite the news clips of people lined up at IndyMac branches waiting to withdraw their money, we want to assure all banking customers that there is no need to panic. All IndyMac funds and assets are protected by the FDIC, which insures most of the nation’s banks and savings associations in the case of failure.

On the Horizon: Finally Some Relief at the Pump

Consumers who pay at the pump with their debit cards should be able to breathe a little easier starting this October. This bit of relief comes from Visa’s recent announcement that they will be changing their rules for debit transactions at the pump.
