Blogging Among the Blogging Posted by Bob at 01/13/07 09:56 AM

I’m sitting here blogging to you this morning during a session at the National Conference for Media Reform. This particular session is about – you guessed it – blogging and the new media.

I’m listening to the speakers as I’m writing to you, a skill I learned during my previous life as a newspaper reporter.

I love this newfound synergy between my old media skills and the new media tools that are changing our world. When hit the save button, my work will belong to you. That is very powerful stuff.

The speakers at this particular seminar are great, talking about the how the old media and the new media are crashing together, revolutionizing the ways we communicate with each other – and scaring the living hell out of a lot of us in the process.

I think the speakers would commend the idea that I am blogging during their presentation. Think about it. Live blogging about a live seminar on blogging. How great is that?

As I said yesterday, the third NCMR in Memphis has already far exceeded my expectations. You can’t swing a dead cat in this place without smacking one of those scarily smart people you wish you could spend more time with, talking about what the Internet is doing to our world – the good, the bad and everything in between.

You can go here to view and read about many of the great sessions, and I would encourage you to do so.

I will close for now by noting that I say at least three other folks in this particular session who appear to be blogging right now. How cool is that?
