Congress has failed consumers Posted by Liz at 11/02/06 09:48 AM

I'll warn you now, it's not pretty.

Some members have voted the right way, but overall, it begs the question...whose side are they on...the voters or special interests? I think we all know the answer to that..

The Plan D Medicare Drug Plan was the worst that could be thought up. It is not difficult, but impossible to figure out which plan is best for an individual, and the supposed help and answers by medicare or any other organization I have contacted has been no help.
Although I saved a considerable amount last year, but with the new changes in plans, I believe that I will receive little relief next year.

PRESIDENT BUSH SHOULD HAVE READ THE BILL HE SIGNED. THE RIFT RAFT PEOPLE OF THE NATION WHO DON'T WORK GET IT FREE THRU MEDICAID OR MEDICARE. BUT THE RETIRED WHO WORKED STILL PAY THEIR SHARE. AMERICA IS SUPPOSED TO HELP PEOPLE BUT NOT RAISE THEM FROM BIRTH TO DEATH. WE MUST BE SURE THE WORKING PEOPLE GET WHAT THEY PAID FOR. POSTAL AND CIVIL SERVICE GET A BETTER DEAL THAN WE DO. PRESIDENT BUSH THIS WAS A BAD BILL AND SOMEONE SOLD YOU A BILL OF GOODS.

FIX IT TODAY PRESIDENT BUSH. W.G. WILSON

PLAN D [The Drug Companies Plan] are the foxes in our prescription plan.
Medicare will not accept a phone call from Canada [I am a Cdn. resident] We were investigating what out cost of health care would
be if we moved back to the US. I called from the US May 6 2006.
They refused to give me a number I could call from Canada. She
promised she would investigate for me and call me back in a few days. MEDICARE I'M STILL WAITING.

Concerning the Plan D prescription drugs, this year that I have now is going up from $58.46 a premium to $79.70 per month. This does include the
donut hole to $3850, but how ever you can only buy
generic drugs in that stage and still pay a monthly premium of $79.70, this does not seem to be proper, may as well reach into my pocket and take what they want.

Also if you look into a plan that has medicare coverage and has a drug plan with it, if you only
purchase 2 Brand drugs and 3 generic drugs for one (1)year and go over $2,400. and then pay 100%.
This is not good or cost affordable for many Retired people, with the above premiums & copay. it reaches approx. $950 to $1,387 additional
payment. and can total $2,450 to $2,672 per person a year

In addition it seems like a over giving to insurance co's, to $700 for managing and profits
on insurance and co-pays. sorry that our goverment did not do their research,

N,P. Thrush

Is anyone else tired of broken promises? I never knew being a liar was so expensive until I saw the amount spent on political parties.
