Rob Schneider, Senior Staff
Attorney
Rob
currently directs Consumers Union's www.PrescriptionforChange
campaign aimed at making prescription drugs more safe,
effective and affordable for all consumers. He is currently
working out of Consumers Union’s headquarters in Yonkers,
N.Y. Immediately prior to this, he coordinated Consumers
Union's Internet and e-mail advocacy efforts from the
Southwest Office.
Rob is a lawyer and a seasoned lobbyist – well know
around the Texas Capitol for his work on financial services
and insurance -- and a nationally-recognized expert
in those areas. He has worked for Consumers Union for
14 years, and previously served as Associate Commissioner
for Consumer Protection at the Texas Department of Insurance.
Rob holds B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University
of Texas at Austin.

Liz Foley, Campaign Organizer
Liz
was born and raised in Staten Island, NY and joined
CU in March 2005 as a Campaign Organizer with www.PrescriptionforChange.org.
Before joining CU, she worked as a Regional Supervisor
and Campus Organizer in New York City for the New York
Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG) for three years.
In the time leading up to the 2004 election, she was
the Pennsylvania Transportation Coordinator for America
Coming Together (ACT) for their Election Day Get
out the Vote efforts.
Liz also spent a year teaching English in Quito, Ecuador
and doing development work in the Amazon. She also worked
for a Member of Parliament in London, England. Liz received
her Bachelors degree from Siena College in Albany,
NY. She currently resides in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

Meg Bohne, Campaign Organizer
Meg
Bohne is a Campaign Organizer in the West Coast Office.
She comes to Consumers Union with seven years
experience as a community activist, advocate and organizer
who has worked issues spanning public health, the environment,
consumer protection, workers rights, health care, higher
education funding, senior issues, and now
prescription drug safety.
Meg worked for the New York Public Interest Research
Group on Long Island as a Project Coordinator and in
New York City as a Regional Supervisor. After relocating
to California in 2005 she teamed up the campaign for
Prop. 79 to promote a statewide ballot initiative for
more affordable prescription drugs, and then continued
work on prescription drug, Medicare Part D and other
health care issues with the Congress of California Seniors
in Sacramento.
Currently Meg is an organizer on the Prescription for
Change campaign, working to get strong drug safety legislation
passed in Congress this session. She lives in Berkeley
with her husband, Mike.

Daniela Nunez, Grassroots Organizer
Daniela recently joined CU in November 2007 as a Grassroots Organizer based in the Southwest office. Before that she worked with the Save Our Springs Alliance in Austin, where she helped coordinate grassroots outreach for Barton Springs through petition drives, volunteer on-the-ground actions, and event promotion. She was President of Notre Dame for Animals and Vice-President of College Democrats while she earned her B.A. at the University of Notre Dame. Daniela also interned with U.S. Senator Evan Bayh in Indiana and U.S. Representative Lloyd Doggett in D.C.
A native of Austin, TX, Daniela is interested in many public interest issues such as health care, the environment, and animal rights. She enjoys reading fiction, watching movies, and volunteering. |
