Consumers Union submits these comments on the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on Food Labeling: Health Claims; Dietary Guidance. We believe that the FDA’s policies regarding qualified health claims violate the Nutrition Labeling and Education Act (NLEA) and are otherwise contrary to law.
