CU Comments on Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act: Standards Related to Reinsurance, Risk Corridors and Risk Adjustment

CU believes that getting risk adjustment “right” is perhaps the most critical step required under the Affordable Care Act to level the playing field among plans in the individual and small group markets, to fully realize the benefit of eliminating medical underwriting, and to ameliorate adverse selection.
