About Rollovers

Introduction
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), rollovers are the second most common type of fatal crash after head-on crashes for all cars. However, it is the most common type of fatal crashes for light trucks, which include SUVs, pick-up trucks, and mini-vans. Rollovers cause 55,000 to 60,000 serious injuries every year. And we know today that sport utility vehicles have a two to four times higher probability of rolling over than passenger cars due to their higher center of gravity.
