What the government’s new rollover tests mean to you

Rollover is a serious issue for drivers of SUVs and pickups. Although relatively rare, they can result in fatality more often than other types of crashes. According to government figures, about half of all deaths in SUVs and pickups occurred in single-vehicle rollovers, compared with just one in five rollover deaths for passenger cars. Incidentally, in 72 percent of fatal rollover accidents, safety belts were not worn.
