NHTSA Heads Visit CU Auto Test Division On November 11, 2003 NHTSA Administrators toured the CU Auto Test Division.

Group PhotoFor the first time in recent history, the administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration toured CU's Auto Test facility and discussed auto safety initiatives with CU's auto test engineers and other safety experts.

CU is working with NHTSA, federal lawmakers, the industry, and the media on issues like rollover and our campaign on kids, cars and safety. Runge, second from the left, visited the Auto Test Division with two senior members of his staff on November 11, 2003. Shown, left to right, NHTSA Regional Administrator Tom Louizou, Dr. Runge, CU's Sally Greenberg, NHTSA Senior Associate Adminstrator Ronald Medford, and CU's Dr. R. David Pittle, Douglas Love, and David Champion.

Louizou subsequently wrote, "It was clear [from the visit] that CU's Auto Test facility has set high standards for integrity, independence, and professionalism....The hard work shows and you are making life better for consumers across America."
